christian platt
A painter of large-scale oil landscapes and still lifes, Christian Platt has been painting full time since the summer of 2008 when he returned from three years of working on the Switchback Ranch in Red Lodge, Montana. In August 2009, Christian was a featured artist at the summer 2009 Ausstellung at the AAART Foundation in Kirchberg, Austria, following which he moved to Portland, Maine and continued focusing on landscape painting until the summer of 2010.
Born in 1986, a native Washingtonian, Christian Platt is a graduate of the Maret School and studied painting in weekend classes at the Corcoran College of Art during his high school years. In the fall of 2010, he became a full-time student in the four-year certificate program at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He lives, works, and studies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
