Janet Fry Rogers
Janet Fry Rogers studied studio art at Colorado College, art theory at the Barnes Foundation, in Merion, Pennsylvania, and drawing and design at the Royal Queensland Art Society, in Australia. Recently, her interest in using new materials led her to the noted furniture and lighting design firm, Niermann Weeks, where she trained in gold and silver leafing techniques. The presentation of her work at Susan Calloway Fine Arts will showcase Rogers’ “Variations on Spring” which includes innovative silver and gold leafed panels with abstract images of plants, restrained contour line drawings of flowers, and subtle watercolor paintings where washes and glazes reflect the beauty of Spring. Rogers lives and works in Annapolis, Maryland.
